A strong cold front is heading our way and a wind advisory has been posted for greater New Orleans from 4 p.m Friday through 7 a.m. Saturday.
Northerly winds near 25 mph are expected with gusts up to 35 mph.
Motorists using elevated roadways will need to keep a tighter grip on the steering wheel.
Temperatures early Saturday morning will drop to the lowest levels in months. Temps will fall into the mid to upper 30's on the north shore early Saturday and into the 40's south of Lake Pontchartrain.
Highs on Saturday will be around 63. It should be a bit warmer Sunday with highs around 67.
