JPSO Searching For Gunman In Early Morning Metairie Shooting

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office says a suspect in a Wednesday morning incident shot someone after getting caught digging in the victim's truck bed.

The 35-year-old man was sitting in his garage on Dream Court in Metairie shortly before 2 a.m.m when he noticed an unidentifed black male near his truck in the driveway.

When the victim yelled at him, the suspect turned, fired three times and ran. The 35-year-old man was hit once in the leg.  His injury is not thought to be life-threatening.

Three spent bullet casings were found at the scene of the crime.
