FQF Decorates Jackson Square For Christmas

FQF Decorates Jackson Square For Christmas

It's beginning to look like Christmas around New Orleans, including the French Quarter, where the group that puts on the annual French Quarter Festival decorated Jackson Square Monday for the Christmas New Orleans Style season.

"We do the same exact thing every single year. We do just very traditional white lights and giant red velvet bows on the lamp posts," says FQF Executive Director Marci Schramm.

But Schramm says you'll have to wait until Sunday, December 1st, to see the illuminated decorations. That's when officials will flip the switch to light up Jackson Square right before the first Christmas New Orleans Style Cathedral Concert.

The concert series at St. Louis Cathedral is free and open to the public. It kicks off Dec. 1st at 6pm with the New Orleans Nightingales.
