A broken water pipe flooded some electrical equipment and caused a delay in departure for a cruise ship slated to leave New Orleans.
Royal Caribbean International said it happened on the Serenade of the Seas.
The cruise line said the ship's critical systems, including navigation, were operational. But some areas — including the main theater and medical facility — were without power.
The company said some state rooms were affected and an unspecified number of guests' reservations were canceled.
Passengers whose reservations were canceled Saturday will receive a full refund for their cruise fare, plus a future cruise certificate for 100 percent of the cruise fare paid for the Serenade sailing.
