The boyfriend of Melinda Denny, 34-year-old Johnathan Nall, was charged late Thursday night with second-degree murder in her death.
Denny's body was found Thursday in a field off Brewster Road between Highways 21 and 1077 in Madisonville. She had been stabbed to death.
The 26-year-old was last seen around 2 a.m. February 22 with Nall in a parking lot on Highway 21. Hours later, Nall threatened to kill himself at a gas station on Highway 1077. He was taken into custody after a two-hour confrontation when deputies fired a bean bag at him, hitting Nall in the chest.
Nall was already charged on one count each of terrorizing and resisting an officer.
