A 45-year-old armored car guard from Kenner was shot and killed Wednesday morning as he unloaded money in the parking lot of the Chase Bank at Carrollton and Claiborne Avenues.
The victim, identified as Hector Trochez, was shot during a robbery committed by three men around 10:45 a.m.
Police later found the suspected getaway vehicle, a Chevrolet Tahoe, parked in the back yard of a vacant house a few blocks away at Adams and Green Streets.
It's believed the suspects fled from that location in a second vehicle that may have been a gray Hyundai. Police said the license plate of the car appeared to have the numbers 141654.
Trochez, who worked for the Loomis company, died on the scene.
The suspects were described as three Black males, 5’7” to 5’9” tall wearing dark jackets with hoods. One suspect had a possible dread lock hair style.
